Helping each other to grow our businesses

Welcome to Forest Entrepreneurs – your friendly local networking group supporting businesses based in and around the area.

At Forest Entrepreneurs we want to add real value to our businesses and create a successful networking group. The group has been established for over eleven years now, and still includes some of the founding members.

Members help each other, build their businesses for the long term.  It’s about more than just passing business between one another, we take the trouble to really get to know each other, that’s how we build mutual trust and the confidence to recommend each other to our wider contacts.

Early evening meetings and no joining fee

Forest Entrepreneurs meets for a fortnightly supper at the Stanwell House Hotel in Lymington. The agenda includes formal yet friendly sections and plenty of time for general networking chat.

One member per business category

There is only one member per business category – which keeps the group tight knit and helps to forge strong links. To keep ideas and discussion fresh and flowing and to introduce new contacts and connections, we encourage members to bring guests, on a regular basis and especially to our very popular “Open Evenings”.

Networking format

Our meeting start in and around the bar area to greet each other and introduce our guests.  We then move to the dining room and each person stands to present their “one minute”.  That’s one minute to summarise what our businesses are about, and the kind of referrals and introductions we’d most appreciate.  After the meal one member (on a rota basis) has the opportunity to make a 10 minute presentation.

The final “formal” element of the evening is when, each member offers appreciation, testimonials and referrals to other members. This is done in a friendly low key way, to encourage genuine referrals. Then it’s coffee and back to general networking chat until people begin to leave.

If you like the sound of the way we operate, do get in touch and come along as a guest to our next meeting at the Stanwell House Hotel.
